All sorted, found some old brake lines from a GSXR 600 in our garage and one of them was a perfect fit.

Hi folks, been while since I posted on here so I must have a problem. I am leaking clutch fluid from the flexible pipe which connects to the slave cylinder, is this a dealer only part do you know? Car is a T2 petrol 2.4, 1997. Cheers for now, Chris

Well it stopped running altogether today on either fuel. Luckily my son was using it as I had hired a car to get to Stevenage as I did not trust it! RAC reckons it is just the rotor arm...I am not so sure as I replaced the rotor arm, leads and distributor cap when I bought it about 4 months ago.

Thanks for the replies. The engine will start on lpg from cold or hot with no problem, in fact I have not used the petrol for some months now, ever since it started to play up on petrol in fact. Today I just decided to investigate the petrol running side of things in case I ever run out of...

My engine will not tickover unless I pull the fuse for the fuel pump! I found this out when I was trying to diagnose the problem. I was trying to check wether the injectors were OK and so unplugged the fuse to empty the fuel lines before disconnecting them and found that the engine ran smooth...

Hi All, It has been a while so Happy New Year to you all. My Navman has packed up, the charging socket won't connect to the plug and so I cannot recharge the internal battery. I am looking for a replacement for under £100, any suggestions will be gratefully received.

I did get rid of my old Mav in the interests of fuel economy and bought a diesel Seat Ibiza...65mpg! Hated the car and went out and bought my Terrano 2.4. Small cars are not for me

I like the look of both models...in fact I prefer them to my Terrano! On a similar subject I hate the name Nissan Terrano, it just sounds so impotent...whereas the Ford Maverick sounds so right! Before anyone takes offence look at my profile..I own a Terrano but used to have a Mav. :wink:

Hi Jim. Thanks for this, I see what you mean about slipping into 2wd now :oops: I have only ever been on 3 greenlane days and so still consider myself a Novice. Each time I exited the slippy stuff I disengaged 4wd and reversed to unlock my auto hubs...I now realise that I did not need to...

With manual hubs am I right in thinking that; 1. They can be locked when already in the slippy stuff 2. They can be locked before going into the slippy stuff 3. They must be unlocked when on the hard stuff If so is there not a danger that you could misjudge when to unlock them and risk...

In my experience it is usually the diodes in the alternator. I understand that they are there to stop the alternator from becoming a motor when it stops rotating, i.e. draining the battery . I may be wrong but unless you know an alternator repairer or can do it yourself the usual remedy is a...
