WANTED - Mk4 Terrano Digital Dashboard Bulbs

Like these ones? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14v-1-2w-60MA-T3-Brown-Base-Indicator-Dashboard-Panel-Bulb-R509TJBR-x-1-/261710739980?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cef2cfa0c Don't go for LED ones - they are far too bright for the dash.

    What is this?

It's the "throttle body control valve actuator". Page EC-304 of the workshop manual. Page EC-431 describes it's operation. It forms part of the EGR system. The throttle butterfly is normally open but it is closed when the engine is up to temperature and is on low load. This creates a vacuum...

    Microsoft Crapp

Tip for Windows 8.1: Right-click on the Start button - this will bring up a menu with fast access to control panel, command prompt, etc. without having to go through the start screen.

    Noise Reduction

I get a bit of a whining noise from the transfer box while in 5th. Does the noise get worse if you push gently sideways on the transfer box gear lever?

    Maf expert needed

To find the Nissan part number for the MAF sensor look on the housing rather than the sensor itself, this will be either 22680-7F400 (earlier) or 22680-7F406 (later 061). The housing itself is also different between models - the later housing contains a centrally mounted tube that the sensor...

    Air Con Pipiing

None, they create a vacuum and check that it holds.

    Front wishbone bump stops

Why would you need a bump stop for the downward travel anyway? Does the shock not limit the amount of droop?

    front prop shaft

Hi John - I did. What I think they're saying is that it might be the case that the prop from 2002 onwards won't fit earlier models as it won't slide down enough but the earlier shaft will extend to fit later models.

    front prop shaft

Yes. I fitted a used 1996 front prop with 3 grease nipples to my 2005. Just bolted up and now it turns all the time.

    Towing entitlement

VOSA published this guide aimed at horse trailer users but it covers all kinds of towing. The bit I think you are looking for is on page 18: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/193236/A_guide_for_horsebox_and_trailer_owners.pdf

    Front diff flanges

The rear prop shaft slides on splines that are in back of the transfer box. How much play in the front prop sliding joint is OK? Is it knackered if there is any at all?

    Front diff flanges

    Good idea, thanks Rick !

    Front diff flanges

I'm trying to identify a vibration that I'm having difficulty tracking down. I've tried most of the usual suspects (prop UJ's, wheel bearings). If I remove the front axles (unbolt from diff end, extract from wheel end) are the flanges in the diff held in position - Can I drive the car without...

Last time I bought one I found a brand new front indicator from Nissan wasn't too bad price wise (£32 inc VAT and a bulb but this was a few years back now).

    egr question

The later 2.7 MAFs are the same as the 3.0 and can be found in a Vauxhall. All detailed here: http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15907

    front indicator lense needed

I bought a new one a few years ago from a Nissan dealer and it was £32.26 (inc VAT) and came with the bulb holder and with a new bulb so not too bad if you can't find a secondhand one.

    Nissan having a laugh

I did some research into this a couple of years ago and found an alternative Vauxhall part that contained the same sensor: http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15907

I had this and it turned out to be a broken wire and not the sensor. Read this thread: http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4518
