i was fiddling with the connector on the back of alternator and there was a definite change in output especially when elecy fans were on, they seemed to pick up speed? not sure whether brushes or dodgy connection?

jace.....guess what?........i disconnected the pos. lead when she was running and she stoped, so me thinks i'll be needin a new alternater! :cry:

hi everybody, am i right in thinking that if the dash lights are flicking on and off(dimmer then brighter) that the alternator is knackerd? just replaced dead battery today as it was playing up yesterday and then flat this morning.

hi everybody, today my battery decided to die :twisted: so i'm calling on all of your expert advise to recommend a battery. considering that i have two large spot lights on the front, twin elecy fans, plus i'm thinking about putting four spot lights on the roof rack.

looking at 300 series. i think they are the better ones?

i would have thought that a body lift would give you better off road performance as you can then fit bigger tyres giving you better ground clearance under your diffs. on the other hand a body lift is a bit more complicated than a suspension lift. i'm sure the other members will give you more info.

i brought some about a month ago and the garage did have a problem getting them due to a manufacturing problem that colway were having. it took two weeks in the end.

jace is right. the only time that air gets added to the equation is when it is mixed with the fuel in the cylinder ( big bang, truck moves forward :lol: ) i would start from the back at the fuel tank, checking the fuel sender unit inside the tank, all the seals and fuel pipe up to the filter...

hi terrance, surely if you are getting air building up in the fuel filter then the problem would be between the fuel tank and the fuel filter? i was getting a similar problem with my mav a few months ago, fuel lines had corroded where one of the clips holds them to the chassis (common fault -...

another thing to think about - did you get a warranty with the vehical when your bought it? if so let the garage sought the problem out.

hi i just looked at you post again, did the rac tell you that their is no fuel getting to the injectors? thier are a few reasons why this can happen - broken/cracked fuel lines. - dirty fuel (although fuel filter should have taken care of this). - blocked fuel filter. - knackered fuel pump.
