NO its in the normal filter housing!!! I can hear it when I am doing around 70. My mate who has a Nissan patrol said that sounds normal. However the engine pulls ok and does not smoke. Its only done 131000 for a L reg thats pretty low esp for a diesel.

My engine is nice and quiet my turbo makes a loud whistle noise at hi speed or hi revving. Apart from that she is a very good motor.

Thanks for that have tested out the 4WD and it all works. I used to have a frontera so I know about the front auto hubs issue. One question I do have is my turbo whistles quite loud when I put my foot down is that normal? Apart from that she drives like a dream!!!! :thumbs
