Used to have an imported mx6 2.5 with 4 wheel steering was fantastic car til had maf prob that overfuelled it & blew con rod out the side :eek:

The people I bought mine from had loads of trouble from the maf because they didnt take any notice when I took it back telling them that through my searches on line is most common prob just needed stripping & cleaning, they took two weeks to come to the same answer but went to A nissan garage...

That really shows my lack of concentration :o just noticed date on this :lol

Only bought my xtrail in january but apart from A few teething problems to do with sellers when first got has been A great truck so far am doing 38/40 to gallon , am doing between 400/700 miles per week :thumb2

Thanks again for that , havent had the spanners out for about 5 years in anger (had rep mobile ) but will have to start doing my bit to keep this on road cant afford fuel & garage bills so will be getting dirty again :eek:

Just been onto that site thanks again :D are A lot cceaper & oem parts but has come up with hand brake shoes:confused: didnt realise this had seperate handbrake from the discs must have drums hidden behind have not looked at anything apart from pads :eek:

Have copied that adress & will have A look thanks :thumb2 did put A price for A new terrano 2 disc up for comparison as that seems the most common wheels on here £40.70 each from japarts but all these parts are supposed to be genuine ?

Totally agree & for peace of mind will be swapping the lot , :thumb2 I do 300/700 miles A weeek last thing I want is Adisc partilly breaking up :eek:

The lips have gotta be at least 4mm too much metal missing off discs for me , am real touchy about brakes cos do lot of miles, inc postage 2 new discs , pads fr+rear copper slip, brake cleaner = £ 125.31 new disc for terrano 2 = £40.70 X 2 Cos never change on their own think seems ok price ?

Has any one had dealings with jap parts just been looking at new front discs + pads all round for xtrail looks to be about £150/70 would cover it all , had A quote from nissan1st but was all 2nd hand ( i know they are A breakers ) dont like used brake parts if got choice

Could have been in A lot worse place though but you dont want wheels falling off anywhere !

Have been Oh so careful since :augie only use sat nav for speed so that keeps me at about 27ish on speedo will prob stop using it once get used to not doing full 30 still coming out with 37/40 to gallon and doing about 300 to 600 miles A week :D

The clutch looks like A motorbike wet multiplate but with less plates no wonder they can give up my old suzi had A 8 plate & that was only 400cc :eek:

I know think they just had too much space to fill & gives them another hugely expensive part to charge for ,wish had some time off for this upcoming run could do with A break :(
