    thanks for the memory if that no plate starts with XAO it's carlisle registered (cumbria area)it may have crossed my path as i served my time at SMT sales & service vauxhall/bedford main dealers in whitehaven . what size engine? they still look like a badly put together airfix model the best...

    14v sounds fine to me, 24v systems often charge at 28v plus ssteve
