Who wants to do my Torsion Bars? (Dorset)

Ladies & Gents, prepare for the offer of a lifetime. My front end needs a slight lift, but the only tools I have are axle stands, several hammers and a kettle. Any ninja spanner jockeys got a spare (insert appropriate time scale) in exchange for tea/coffee and a handful of beer tokens? Based...

    Higher Headlight Bulb Wattage

So the Nightbreaker Unlimited's arrived yesterday, fitted as dusk last night. Drove home around 10pm through miserable wet country B roads... Ermergerd... Quite a substantial difference on dipped beam, much better close range vision. Full beam was insane! Could see so far that I already know...

    Higher Headlight Bulb Wattage

I've been spoilt with headlights in the past, used to have a modded Misti FTO import, which had ridiculously good HID units for dipped and main. after a 40mm lowering kit they didn't destroy the retinas of people ahead of me. My Night Breaker Unlimited have been dispatched, for a total of...

    Higher Headlight Bulb Wattage

My only concern is the reduced lifespan. I cover a lot of miles of dark, wet boggy roads. Although I religiously check my lights a few times a week, they only pop at the worst time. So £20 for a pair delivered ain't too bad?

    Higher Headlight Bulb Wattage

I might be better off trying these bad boys, as I don't want to faff around with relays. http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H4-OSRAM-Night-Breaker-Unlimited-110-Upgrade-Xenon-Headlight-Bulbs-pair.html Is this a fair price?

    Higher Headlight Bulb Wattage

This sounds far too complicated to me. I'm not a smart man.

    Higher Headlight Bulb Wattage

Greetings. I need to change my H4 bulbs. One popped last night and I live right out in the sticks, most of my driving is in darkness. I've seen some 100/80W all weather bulbs, but given the higher wattage, would there be any problems with heat transfer? Also, would the cabling be up to the...

    Is your horn pooh!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might go for one of the truck style horns with two fluted pipes. I want people to know when they've annoyed me, from miles away.

    blinker fluid

One of the guys had work had to take a van for repair, and him being a bit "simple" got asked to get the following checked: 1. - Indicator Fluid 2. - Flux Capacitor output 3. - Take a bag full of exhaust so they can check cold running emissions 4. - Can he get a mechanics punch? He genuinely...

    Twitter Users?

Companies "buying" followers is social media suicide. An organic follower list is infinitely more relevant and useful, a warehouse full of kids with 20 accounts each, with no followers or content doesn't really commercially work. A personal account as previously mentioned, can be completely...

    Twitter Users?

How many of you are Twitterists? If so, do you use it for personal use or for business? I have distanced my account (@FormerSmurf) from my professional life over the past 18 months, as I don't see why my employer should benefit from my online presence. I have more followers and activity on...

Help Serpentine belt issue - help me please ?

Virgin don't allow residential accounts to have static IP's, but the MAC address is fixed. Log into the admin page of the hub, and you should be able to renew DHCP lease. Do this, full reset, and wait an hour or so. If the new hubs are like the old hubs, it will restore to factory default (ie...

    Rear Wiper

The wiper itself works reasonably well, however the rear washer jet fails to fire. It makes the noises, but no juice. I haven't had a dry to to see if fluid drips from anywhere. Does anyone know which route the hose runs on a 2000 LWB T2?

Do I need a pollen filter?

I swear by clean pollen/cabin filters. When they get blocked and grotty, your are more prone to condensation and the related issues. I've only had my truck a few weeks, and as soon as I swapped the filter out I've not had any internal condensation and the heaters are like jet turbines.

    Interior Light: Door Open

How much are these timer type jobbies, and can I fit it with a hangover? The Haynes manual "spanner gauge" is redundant. I base the complexity of tasks on how much I can drink the night before and still successfully accomplish after chowing down on a cold kebab 8 hours later.

    Interior Light: Door Open

The light at the rear doesn't come on in any situation, I should check the bulb! My central locking works fine since I re-programmed the fob. It is set on the NATS anti-hijack, so upon unlock with fob it will open drivers door only, a second press does the remainder. Good for leaving the...

What do you regularly see on the motorways these days?

If it's not a farm vehicle, it's a luxury super-yacht. Sunseeker are based not far from me, and they often pick inappropriate narrow roads to block with the multi-million pound boats...
