    Now it's got at least another year's life left, when i took one of the rear brake drums off, the oil seal in the end of the rear axle is seeping oil onto the back plate. How big a job is it to replace the oil seal?

    Right then progress so far, tried the method Rick suggested and worked to a point, but still a little spongy, so ended up undoing the union of the pipe that goes to the top of the brake sensor got someone to pump the pedal and low and behold it was like undoing a bleed nipple on a house...

    Hi all, not been on for a while, was thinking of getting rid of my Maverick but had a change of heart, so took it for a MOT and it failed on front to back brake pipes, have changed them but they are very spongy to the point of not drivable as anyone got any ideas please!!

    I drive a bus and on my way to Barnsley a couple of weeks ago was following a 57 plate Merc van, I think he had put veggi oil in, it was coughing spluttering and kicking loads of smoke out, but the give away was!!!!!!!!!!! the SMELL :lol

    Sorted, got a used one for £70 and it's back to normal, thanks for all the info, a garage we took it to said it was the injector pump, so wont be going to him again!!

    I have to agree, I put Axel stands and the wheel + blocks of 6x2 cos these Mavericks are heavy buggers and they wont take any prisoners, I am looking for a heavy duty jack at the moment.

    Mine just says TD as well so I think that's panic over :clap, AS for insurance you cant be too careful, does everyone know you have to declare tow bars are fitted!!
