Brake discs and Pads for noobs Video link

Seems the question of how to sort the discs (rotors over the pond) on a Pathfinder comes up quite regular, and no surprise either given the cost if you have them done by a garage. I managed to do these myself yesterday, first time, straight forward enough with basic tools. Did a little video of...

    Injectors

The copper washers are to provide a gas tight seal and should be replaced when injectors are removed unless you anneal the washers (heat) to ensure that they are sound when refitted. Regardless of if they were previously I would have fitted them. Making sure that as much as possible the...

    Dual Mass flywheels...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f2uX3L9PdY Ok the link isn't a Nissan, but it explains pretty well how the DMF works and shows a Solid flywheel being used as a replacement. The Torsion damper moves effectively from the flywheel on the DMF to the clutch plate on the Solid mass arrangement. I'm...

    Dual Mass flywheels...

Indeed.. makes for grim reading which is why I'm bitter not toward Nissan but to the buffon who invented dual mass flywheels then applied them to a workhorse of a 4x4. Does make me very frustrated indeed.. the conversion kit I did find is £443 and realistically it would be engine out.. along...

    Dual Mass flywheels...

I don't think that will be an issue .. at least for as long as I plan on keeping the car.

    Dual Mass flywheels...

Smokin... my clutch was after reversing the caravan up the drive.. despite selecting low box as well. I know.. those not in the know will be thinking don't ride the clutch..blah blah blah.. I don't! My 110 pushes the caravan up the same drive no sweat and its 21 years young. The issue after a...

expo style roof racks more photos

Constuctive feedback - I'm thinking maybe some vertical supports / spacers in the corners on future ones. I like to ratchet strap things down and would worry the straps may pull up the corners. Can you get them Galvanised then powder coated.. I've had powder coated bull bars on an old Rangie and...

    Roof bars at Lidl

Thought I'd mention it for those of you in the UK . Lidl have on offer some roof bars that mount to the existing roof rails of a Terrano. I took a look at the list of cars but the pathfinder wasn't amoungst them. So if you need some they are about £24 for a pair so get them quick. :D

    car? alloys onto a caravan

IF you do go to a breakers you don't need a full set of matching trims.. just 2 of each if thats all they have that look the part. If anyone can see all four wheels at the same time then things have gone real pear shaped.
