Have you by any chance got a set of bushes for the front wiper mechanism? it's a 2002 but think (hope) they are the same.

When I recovered the wheel the nuts holding the wheel onto the spacer was still tight, the inner nuts was the ones that had come off, like said by others I drive for a living and as a rule know when something isn't right, only drove about quarter of a mile if that when it happened..:nenau

In my case there wasn't any warning sound's feeling, went over a speed bump and bang the wheel is off up the road.:doh

Had the same happen to me last year, n/s front wheel, the nuts came of the wheel spacer.. Lucky for me they was still inside when it stopped up the road..:doh
