    OSF Headlight & Indicator

Afternoon all. Might not be the correct place to post this but after a little bump this morning I'm in dire need of a headlight and indicator for a 1995 Mav.I've tried everyone breaking on eBay as well as local scrap yards and not had any luck. Also need an OSF wing but that's not essential at...

    Help!

Cheers everyone for your help last night at silly o'clock! Tried reconnecting the battery at 0430 this morning and the motor kicked in once again. Left the vehicle at home all day and on returning at 1800hrs earlier, I decided to the brave the snow and give it another go. On this occasion when...

    Help!

When the starter was stuck on and the ignition turned to start, the engine wouldn't start earlier. Still won't start now so not sure if that idea of yours would work, unless I misunderstand it...

    Help!

Just been out to take another look. As soon as I put the positive terminal back on, the motor started up. Tried wiggling the key in the ignition first, with no effect. Couple of taps with the rod and hammer, no effect. Only took about 3 mins to do all the above, during that time I didn't...

    Help!

Yes, once I'd calmed down and started thinking straight, it did occur to me that its likely to be the starter motor. If it was stuck on, would that prevent the engine from starting? Off to find a big hammer now...

    Help!

Taking one of our Mavericks out early doors tomorrow morning so just been out to start it up and move it across the yard to kit it out and something's gone badly wrong... Started fine, put the lights on and blower on to clear window and drove it approximately 20 foot. Turned lights and blower...

Front offside outer track rod end

I thought about the threads but they're wound right I'm and can't see them :-( The only reason I'm replacing it is because the rubber boot is torn and loose and its due and MOT next week and will fail due to the potential water/dust ingress...

Front offside outer track rod end

Evening all. Just a quick one, I need to order one of the above however looking at the part, they come in a left hand or right hand thread. Anyone know off hand which i need, save me paying the garage a visit?! Cheers, Sean.

    Central locking 'loose'

Evening all. Couldn't think of a better word to use than loose but here we go...! The central locking on one of our Mavericks regularly decides that its going to lock all doors whenever the front driver or passenger side doors are closed with decent force. Closing the doors lightly avoids this...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Well no footprints this morning and the trap hasn't been touched... No other obvious signs of life... I work with two people who both keep ferrets so I'm considering exploring that avenue...!

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Yes I was thinking along these lines actually. As far as I'm aware in the 6'ish years I've lived here, we've not had a problem with rats as no-one has seen any. We do get the odd tiny mouse running around however so I think it's probably one of those. I've sprinkled a fine coating of flour over...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

The fuel filter primer has been replaced with one from another vehicle and all seems well. Just got another little ongoing problem to sort now... some kind of small animal deciding to chew bits of foam and black "stuff" from behind dash and leaving it in little piles on the carpet in the...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Evening all. Due to the weather and a couple of other factors, it was only until earlier this evening that we managed to get a chance to investigate this problem a bit further. Starting at the rear, we accessed and removed the fuel sender unit. In the little round "tub" at the bottom of the...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Unfortunately I'm not going to get a chance to do anymore investigations over the weekend so will have to wait until Monday. Rather than try the clear pipe and look for air, we've decided just to get some rubber fuel pipe and replace it under the body anyway. I know its 8mm diameter from tank...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Yes there's no MAF on this model so not much we can do about that! The fuel filter that went on was, I believe, a Boshi filter out of a kit from Milner. I think the one that came off was also a Boshi so we'd be unlucky if it was a dodgy filter initially causing the problem and then replacing it...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

I'll give that a go but I'll have to run the tubing out of the bonnet so its visible when driving as the problem doesn't occur when the vehicle is stationary and revved, only when its under load. I don't think my mechanic would want to sit in the engine bay as I'm doing 60mph ;-) Cheers, Sean.

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Morning. Thanks for that suggestion. I'll check the fuel lines this evening and see what condition they're in. Could it be possible that they are corroded enough to suck air in but not for fuel to be lost as I've not noticed any fuel leaks? Also, we were considering using an air line to blow...

    Lack of power/fuel starvation...

Evening all. My first post on here although I have been around for a while, gleaning valuable information from the forum! My mechanic and I are having issues trying to identify a problem and having tried all the obvious things, we've hit a bit of a brick wall and I'm hoping someone may be able...
