I don't think it matters which one. but with a butt weld you can grind back to get a flatter finish

its all good mate im gonna order welder tonight of ebay I was a welder for 6 years might need five minutes to get back into though. thing I don't really know about is thickness of the plates to weld back in? is there any regulations on the plate sizes for mot

hi I have no problem with the welding side of things more the fabrication side of things what size plates should be used to weld back in and so forth

hi well the maverick failed the mot today. hills ford wanted £620 notes to do the job:eek: so took the car to a body shop down the road they wanted not much shy of a grand to do the job. I have no problem using a welder done the job for a few years. so gonna get one again. reasons for failure...
