The week point is potentially the switch. On main beam you would be drawing about 16 amps as against the standard draw of about 10 amps. When these bulbs were used on rally cars years ago they would be wired through a relay to protect the switch and wiring - probably the safest option.

My guess is that if they want to put it on the forcourt about £1950, if they don't about £ 1350. They would retail it at about £3950 however.
Certainly doesn't seem fair though.
I had never looked as I only have the one child but I have just been out to check and it does indeed have a roof mounted 3rd seat belt so no lap belts.

Cheers Banshee,
I won't be going away too soon as I have a nearly new membership. I'll also pay a years membership for the new owner as and when she sells.

Perhaps mine was the other way around on the original battery? I really can't remember now but I certainly didn't do anything any more difficult than a bit of wiggling when I fitted this one. Oh, and cut a bit out of the clamp rim on the engine side. This battery came off my dead Mercedes W210.

Just to put the cat among the pigeons (again) I have found this page that suggests that newer diesel vacuum pumps are liable to "over assist" the pedal. In other words, while stationary, with engine running it is possible to achieve brake line pressure far above that which could be achieved in...
Rick, I have massive respect for your technical knowledge and practical ability but this does seem to be a known characteristic of some diesel vehicles. Google "diesel creep" and you get thousands of results reporting the same symptoms. The MOT handbook seems to recognise it and says that it's...
