    tyre sizes.. (again)

Hi chaps, Sorry if this has been posted many times (I would think it has) but would a 2 inch lift allow for tyre sizes around 31 inch.? My suspension is old and tired so at some point I will be replacing it. It would be nice to add a small lift and go for some A/T tyres. Don't want to go silly...

    A challenging problem.

not sure if this would apply but in this hot weather I put frozen bottles of water in the rabbit hutches. They lie against them if it gets too hot and also lick the outside to cool down.

    Squeaky noise

I shall have a look at the flange you mentioned. The thrust bearing is still doing the rumbling so I don't think it would be that. I think I will pull the gearbox and sort the thrust bearing anyway, it drives me mad. Might as well fit a new clutch while I'm there and sort out the spongy pedal...

    Squeaky noise

Defiantly not props etc. The thrust bearing is a bit noisy so it may well be that. Odd nose though for one, not a rumble as normal.

    Squeaky noise

Hi all, I have a squeaky noise (I think thats the best way to describe it) coming from somewhere in the transmission. It makes the noise if you let off the throttle when driving but goes if you push the clutch in or go back on the throttle. Is there any obvious faults on these before I start...

    Wanted - Cheap MIG welder

Personally i would save up a little more and buy a slightly more expensive one. Much better to use and better results. I have a Clarke 135TE Turbo MIG Welder. Its ok but would be better with a variable control rather than just 2 high low buttons. I had to get one quick as my other died but am...

    Free Swag!

Nice one. Being prepared for problems is the way to go. So many people go out in the bad weather in their car without any prep. All it takes is a puncture or breakdown and it can all go wrong, especially in the winter weather of the last couple of months

Headlights I’ve Been Saying This for years

They are terrible things. Half the time you are flashing them thinking they have left their high beam on. I have been left with squinty eyes for a few seconds after, so it surely can't be safe.

    Interesting kitchen set up.

Cheers Jim. I'll search it out

    Interesting kitchen set up.

I like that. Has anyone made a hinged table on the rear door of the terrano ?

    Today's Daydream -Jeep Succession Planning

I would give an XJ a good look all over. They aren't a separate chassis so no worries with that. I think the later ones, '97 onwards (but don't quote me on that) are galvanised and less prone to rust. All of the ones i have had have been rust free. The petrol motor is bullet proof. The diesel...
