    My Terrano Thread.

I can believe it. Dropping the front diff out by hand wasn't something i'd like to do often lol. If things quieten down at work I can chuck it on a friends 2 poster so should make life a bit easier.

Engine is easier if you've access to a crane or engine lift, I don't have access to either unfortunately. Atleast dropping the box off I can work from the floor and use a transmission jack.

I'll be pulling the box, don't fancy dropping the engine out if I can help it lol.

The front one is quite heavy. Doesn't need to come out to do the clutch though I don't think lol.

Haha, been wanting something similar for home. A set of those display ramps are tempting to do the clutch lol.

I bet them ramps are handy for doing jobs on the car :naughty

    Just Passing.............

The 2.7 is just a bit more old school. Less to go wrong 😂

    Just Passing.............

Oh there's nothing wrong with the 3.0, I just prefer the 2.7 as there's less to go wrong lol. I drove one a few years back but it was a little poorly

    Just Passing.............

Would have been tempted by the SWB had it been the 2.7 :(

Aren’t they supposed to make a ratcheting type sound when they’re running? I’ve been watching all the different installation videos in YouTube lol

How does it drive with it fitted? Any odd noises?

    Elty001's terrano project

It's really starting to come along now. Hope you'll be doing more lol

    97 Maverick 2.4

I'll try them out if you want lol. And yeah its not too bad if they're clean to start with. Unfortunately the steel round the welds seems to be the worst part. I did consider repairing and sealing mine with some of that Glyptal paint they use in engines, only problem is its stupidly expensive lol.

    97 Maverick 2.4

Nah, i'd like to stick with this project and have a bit of fun with it. Just didn't fancy having to drop the sump at a later date if the old one started passing again. Atleast with a new genuine pump it'll last longer than i'll keep the car. Plus we've been busier than ever with work so haven't...

    97 Maverick 2.4

I know :( Should have ordered the sump earlier but with most dealerships closed round here i've had to source one stateside. And I will once I can crack on again :lol

    97 Maverick 2.4

I think thats where the price jumps up considerably though. Would love some of the weller style if possible. Is there a greater choice of tyre for either the 15x8 or 16x8? Going off the standard size there doesn't seem to be much available.

    97 Maverick 2.4

Apologies for the lack of updates. After picking up a spare sump which needed a fair bit of work itself. I bit the bullet and ordered a new one from the US. I really don't fancy having to pull the sump off again so decided this was the way to go. Hopefully this should be here next week so the...

    Doug the TIG

Work are buying the set as we're starting to do more and more in house. However i've no experience at all with TIG where as MIG is easier to pick up.

    Doug the TIG

Haha, i'd love to ask for a tig but its not something i've ever done before but it would benefit what we do. Looks like i'm doing a welding course!

I think we will once we tidy the garage out. But there's too much crap in there for the time being lol. I can't see us doing a massive amount but i'd like the ability to do bits on the car here and there. Plus if all goes to plan, when we move into our new premises at work, i've been promised a...
