Coolant / brake fluid advice for y60 patrol

That is interesting Zac. I run my Patrol on Comma G30 (red/Violet) as recommended by Comma themselves. When I was searching for coolant nearly every website said that G48 (Green) is not suitable for the Patrol. Unless of course, 24 years old isn’t old enough.

    Rear view camera jobbie ;)

Excellent work. Glad that you got it sorted. :thumb2

    Rear view camera jobbie ;)

A simple relay should do the trick and not be that difficult to install either. So that when you select reverse it breaks the contact to the high level brake light. Once reverse is deselected the relay unpowers and the high level brake light is reinstated.

    Removing seats and MOT.

Thank you all. Just wanted to make sure before ripping them out.

    Removing seats and MOT.

Hopefully the greater knowledge on this forum can help me. As most people know I have a Y61 SWB Patrol that officially has 5 seats. For as long as I have the car the backseats have always been folded up. The only time they are folded down is when the car goes for its MOT. I have been toying...

What is the problem with the Bobcat?

    Today at Work!

Cheers Rick. As far as I am aware everything is correct but I was only there to do the tiling. The pipework is all done by the plumber.

    FT’s Patrol Project

The Patrol went for its MOT yesterday and passed with a few advisories but nothing serious. A bit of play in a wheel bearing, corroded suspension springs and a anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has some slight play. All easy to repair when I get it in the garage.

    Spare wheel cover

Today I ripped my semi rigid spare wheel cover, so this now needs replacing. Had a quick search online but Nissan Patrol covers seem to becoming hard to get for a reasonable price. Not prepared to pay £150 for one. Just looking for a plain black one so nothing fancy. Any recommendations?

    MOT time for the Patrol

Good luck Rick. Mine is currently off road as the MOT expired at the end of last month and I haven’t had time to look her over. Hopefully can get under her today with an MOT next week.

    LIDL recruitment.

Jennifer, a manager at a local Lidl store, had the task of hiring someone to fill a job opening. After sorting through a stack of resumes she found four people who were equally qualified. Jennifer decided to call the four in and ask them only one question. Their answer would determine which of...

    H233 Axle No-ABS

As a disclaimer, I don’t know anything about the Terrano so this may not be possible! You mentioned previously that Terrance needs lots of work doing and that he will be off the road for a bit longer. Is it possible to swap Terrance’s axle to Tobias or are they completely different axles? Or no...

    H233 Axle No-ABS

Removing the bulb may not be an option Zac, it really depends on how thorough the MOT tester is. If you have a tester who does it by the book then he/she will check that the light comes on briefly when switching on the ignition. Obviously if the bulb is removed it won’t come on and should set...

    Prostrate cancer Rick

Rick, glad to hear that you caught it early. I only just seen this thread. From reading the thread am I right in concluding that they have not removed the cancer and no chemo or radiotherapy? Instead they are keeping it under observation until medical intervention is required?
