    Removed the front bits and pieces. I knew what was gonna be under there was not good after crawling about underneath.

    Cleaned it up, removed the sound deadening and marked up ready to cut out and make repair panels. Trying to get it all ready for a big repair session this coming weekend.

    In over filling the gearbox it has cured the rattle when the clutch is engaged. I think squeezing that much oil in has possibly caused me some other issues though. I seem to have some oil on the front side of the transmission now, not enough to be dripping on the drive yet. Seems to be from the...

    Gearbox had been a bit noisy when sat in neutral but the noise stopped when depressing the clutch. After a bit of searching things pointed to the lay shaft bearing. Cure was to try and overfill the gearbox. Managed to do this by parking across my drive which is sloped then jacking up the higher...

    One side down. Was the first time welding a car luckily the panel was nice and straight forward to shape on put in. Can see now the welds are a bit cold but i was concerned with blowing through. That will get better and better by the time ive repair all the bits ready for renewing my mot.

    Arch painted. I will be running more seam sealer over the welded joints then anothe coat of paint once its fully set.

    Resealing the seam. Used overpaintable sealer from toolstaion. Very thick and sticky stuff.
