    Annoying squeak

Another good possibility, thanks Rustic, I see another busy day ahead of me tomorrow!

    Annoying squeak

Hadn't thought of the exhaust but I will check the heat shield and the mountings, thanks for that one Briggie.

    Annoying squeak

Funnily enough my "man steps" were a bit loose and squeaky, managed to get them tightened so that they were solid - squeak was still there! :o(

    Annoying squeak

No, def. not from the rear door, those spot welds broke about two years ago and were drilled out and replaced with 6mm screws and nuts - good call though Jim,thanks.

    Annoying squeak

Thanks for the suggestions guys, will give my ball joints a severe talking to!

    Annoying squeak

Happens on flat or bumpy roads Alex, and is random, doesn't seem to be related to wheel revolution.

    Annoying squeak

My T2 has developed an extremely irritating squeak which I simply cannot trace. It only happens on the move, i.e. rocking the car doesn't produce the sound. It sounds like a ball joint or bush, but having gone around everything that moves with a can of spray white grease I have failed to make a...

    Speakers wanted

Did think about that, but the advantage of fitting originals is I know they are going to fit without any mods (my access to anything other than spanners, sockets and screwdrivers is pretty limited here in Spain).

    Speakers wanted

Does anyone have a pair of standard Nissan Terrano or Ford Maverick 6x4 speakers they would be willing to sell, suitable for my 1994 T2 (the heat perishes the foam cone surrounds out here in Spain). Front or rear will do, as they're both the same. Thanks guys (and girls)

    Weird bulbs- Jeep tail lamps

Think these are quite common now, my 2004 Honda Jazz has capless bulbs all round (except the headlights).

My 20 year old has a new MOT. No advisories

That is a possibility, hopefully will have the answer tomorrow.

My 20 year old has a new MOT. No advisories

Well, mine failed (as I suspected it would!) BUT, it appears only on the rear anti-roll bar bushes. The tester's writing on the sheet was, in my daughter's words "worse than on a doctor's prescription" so she can't even translate it, so it may be something totally different. More will be...

You're right! I'd forgotten that! :doh

My 20 year old has a new MOT. No advisories

You're right about the suspension having a hard life (had a rear spring snap last year), plus the bushes harden and wear quickly. Although Spain is obviously drier than the UK they still do get their share of rain (quite a lot the past few weeks). This runs off the mountains and across the...

My 20 year old has a new MOT. No advisories

Mine (21 years old) has gone for it's Spanish MOT too today, son-in-law has taken it to Estapona, the other side of Marbella, about 30 miles away - not optimistic - 155k on the clock and in continuous daily use up and down rocky, rutted, potholed and muddy Spanish tracks (and although he and my...

For Sale - Rare Terrano Rubber Dash Mat

Perhaps most of us already have one (I have).

    go slow

Exactly the symptoms mine had when the mini filter was blocked. After cleaning it for the fourth time in a year I didn't bother putting it back, had no trouble since.

    Battery

My Varta came from Norauto Spain, but the Yuasa was from a small independent motor factors in southern Spain - tends to suggest that Norauto are a tad expensive!

    Battery

A Varta in Spain cost me 130€ three years ago - it lasted until 2 months after the warranty ran out! I now have a Yuasa, that was 95€, be interesting to see how long that lasts (batteries don't last long in southern Spain, apparently the heat cooks them)
