    SWB 2.4 Load Capacity

Armour plating for the rush hour M25 jostle, that's where the damage came from when an X5 decided to push me under an Artic trailer. :doh The steel is a cheap option to replace the 3mm sheet covering my welding bench, I can leave gaps for clamping and add a few extra holes on the pillar drill...

    SWB 2.4 Load Capacity

o I do want to sort it but will also need the corner of a car to weld in place for the lamp to fit into. Covid 19 has slowed my plans for this year down considerably. :(

    SWB 2.4 Load Capacity

Scrap lift shaft counterbalance weights, 20mm x 220mm x 1250mm, my bumper build may be a wee bit heavy duty. :augie

    SWB 2.4 Load Capacity

752kg in the back and the suspension coped quite well, almost level with the saggy torsion bars. :D

    SWB 2.4 Load Capacity

Thanks, it should be ok as what I am collecting is estimated at 45-50kg a piece and maybe 16 pieces. I will take my baggage scales and check a couple before loading. I had some 2.5x500x1000mm sheets in there a while back and the ride was much better! I selected the 2.7 on that list, the 2.4 that...

    SWB 2.4 Load Capacity

I have a chance collect some very cheap steel tomorrow and a web search gives me a 765kg load capacity, anyone know if that is correct on a SWB? :nenau Link is for SWB so I'm presuming yes. What i have to collect could easily be up around that weight. LINK

That looks really good and shows how good of a job you did on the steel, the radiused edges make it look moulded. :thumb2

    PAYG phone cards

We went over to Tesco a couple of years back and have renewed since, £20 a month for both with a silly amount of minutes, text and a fair bit of data. Tesco have been the one phone company we have not had any problems with from day 1 and the sim only renewal was done in minutes during a normal...

It looks good bare, the powder coat will finish it off nicely. Satin black?

I collected a Y Argon Friday so once it comes up online I will post the prices, the Argoshield Light rental I have just received is £62.40.

Watch out for the BOC paper bill fee, it's around £5 if you don't go paperless and the collection fee has been reintroduced too on the Volkzone/Hobbyweld deals unfortunately. This has made the rent free options more viable for those who don't use much gas, I am going over to SGS once each...

That Lincoln is an expensive bit of kit too, your welding supplier must love your place. :D Do you have a spool gun for the R-Tech? I tried aluminium in my old Mig 20 years ago and the bird nesting drove me mad, spool guns were the stuff of dreams for home use back then.

I find DC Tig quite pleasurable, I'm back up and running today after a 60 mile round trip for a bottle of Argon so I can now get on with a few bits.

Tactical, can it be attached to an M4 Picatinny rail? :naughty

If work are paying take it on. BIG cost difference in running a Tig and soooo many variables compared to Mig. Very satisfying when it goes right and frustrating beyond belief when it doesn't.

Those little hobby bottles and regulators will soon relieve your wallet of mucho casho once you get into it, a bigger bottle and regulator are a must if you are going to do a lot.
