Number one injector needle sensor error 34

Although, another thought, if this needle valve sensor is only there to provide a means of fine tuning the timing, has anyone tried simply connecting up a 100 ohm resistor as a rough and ready work around?

Number one injector needle sensor error 34

In limp mode changed MAF but still the same, so shorted the little block thing and got error code 34. Changed fuel filter which needed doing but engine check light still on. (Old version of diagnostics so paperclip has to stay in place to give flash code and cannot it seems wipe error.) So...

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

When you say you have the transponder are you referring to a pcf7936 chip? If so you have to ensure it is formatted to id46 I before it can be copied to. Sorry I said pcf7935 before but that is for the earlier NATS seutup.

Flip key carcass for 5wk4 782 remote

Has anyone found a flip key body that the Siemens 5wk4 782 two button, two battery, board will fit into?

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

I know I am rather late to the party in this one but thought I would provide what little info I have to offer. You appear to be running through the programming of the central locking correctly but forgetting that the coding of the transponder in the key is a separate entity. I suspect by now...

Thank you very much indeed for looking for me Rick but I have just picked up a complete green one.

Wanted: Terrano 2 1998 Drivers Side Door Mirror

Just been trying to do a temporary repair as per workshop project WK43 by Kamsin but found that it is not possible because the mirror housing does not have a rear cover that can be popped off. The whole housing is a single unit. Thought this might clarify the pattern required. Meanwhile it is...

Wanted: Terrano 2 1998 Drivers Side Door Mirror

Just reversed out of a narrow gate after a funeral and snapped off the drivers mirror. Not a good day. Does anyone have one they could sell me? Preferably an electric one in green. Failing that what years would be comparable to mine?

    Air lock in cooling system

Thank you both for the replies. All seems to be OK now but I will check for any more air in the system again over the weekend, just to make certain. At what temperature does the electric fan start up and is it possible to test the fan by bridging contacts? I am guessing the temp sensor is one...

Marked improvement in performance so well worth it.

    Air lock in cooling system

After a few hard drives it seems I cannot get the temp gauge above the little white dot on the right near the base of the needle. I am presuming that this is the register mark for correct running temp and as such indicates that the thermostat is opening as it should and that all is well. To be...

    Air lock in cooling system

Hi All Just replaced the 82degC thermostat for a 87 as temp guage would never go past a third and was usually at 1/4. Running veg so engine much happier if running temp that bit warmer. However I am not sure if I have now managed to form an air lock. Is there a foolproof way of checking and...

    Torsion bars first?

Quick update, raised the front by just over an inch each side yesterday without needing to reset the torsion bars. Very little difference between front and rear wheel arch height now. Car drives a lot better feeling far more responsive and no more squealing as I corner. I will give it a day to...

    Torsion bars first?

Noted on all counts and thank you both. The car has only done 57k miles so I would have hoped that there was little ball joint wear. However the front certainly has sagged on the torsion bars. I will attempt raising it tomorrow but from the look of the adjusters I may well have to reset them.

    Torsion bars first?

Despite having my tracking (basic check no chamber of castor) checked about four months ago the inner edge of both front tyres is now totally smooth. So before I have a more extensive check done should I raise the front? It is noticeably lower than the rear. I take it that raising the...

    NM53 EMK - 3.0 SVE Terrano

Yep, when exposed to the air the oxidation of the oil produces an exothermic reaction creating enough heat to ignite the rag or even brush. The metal of the car presumably dissipated enough heat so that the petrol didn't explode.

    NM53 EMK - 3.0 SVE Terrano

Nope. At least no more than any other veg oil. I think you are confusing the issue with oily rags self combusting which IS a real danger
