    Hi, I’m back again, again.

Hi folks, I’m back again. Having a real problem insuring my old terrano due to me not knowing which model it is, SE tdi, S tdi or sports tdi When I enter the reg on any insurance websites it draws a blank and I have to input make and model and and which variant. There is nothing on the log book...

My Terrano Is Dead! Fortunately my wife is ok

Sounds like a bad one Jim, hope your wife and other driver get the all clear. The paramedics are brilliant, it's just they are spending more time looking after patients in the hospital car park because the a&e is bursting at the seems.

The light worked Elty, just not automatically. I want to ring them but don't want to pay another £100 diagnostic test.

Extra info: They charged me £188 to supply and fit the part which I thought was steep but thought it would at least been guaranteed.

    Contime 905 unit

My interior courtesy light has not worked since owning my car (6 years) and told then by a Nissan dealer it was the Siemens contime 905 unit which sits on fuse box above the fuses. At the time I did not do it as it was very expensive to fix. Now 6years,on last week I put my car into a different...

    Replacing engine coolant.

Well maybe the 2.7 Nissan engine is not fussy as my expansion tank has a pink tinge and it would have last been changed when I had a gold (cost an arm and a leg) service from a Nissan dealer six years ago. Also found this, http://www.commaoil.com/products/results/91008635 So I think as above...

    Replacing engine coolant.

I used the Halfords website entering my make, model, year and engine size and it recommended its own brand oat silicate free antifreeze. Which I believe is the pink stuff as opposed to the green that contains silicate for older engines, I could be wrong. I then went to my owners manual which...

    Replacing engine coolant.

Thanks for the tips, have ordered 5l of anti freeze and 5l of deionised water so will give it a go when all arrives. Also research suggest to either take old coolant to the tip or pour down the toilet but under no circumstances pour it down a drain as it will most likely end up in a local...

    Replacing engine coolant.

In response to the impending artic conditions, I bought an antifreeze tester. On testing I found my coolants freeze protection was minimal giving a reading of -7c (one floating disk). Now I am in two minds wether to try to top up with concentrated anti freeze somehow without removing hoses if...

    White writing yay or nay?

Well the tyres are on, and the writing is on the inside. The fella at the tyre place questioned the tyre pressures recommended on the door frame of the car of 26 psi all round, And said he would put in 36psi. I stuck with the 26.

    Locking wheel nuts.

Recently realised I hadn't any locking nuts on my wheels, so after some research decided on some evo mk5 jobbies as they got good reviews. The instructions said to torq as per car manufacturers specifications, which I believe is 130 nm. Anyone have any experience of these locking nuts and are...

    White writing yay or nay?

New BFGs are hopefully going on at the weekend and can't make my mind up. The sensible choice is nay as I don't want to draw anymore attention to my car than need be. What would you/have you done?

    thought i would reintroduce myself

Hi, again thanks for your kind words. When i woke up Monday I could barely hobble about due to an old knee injury flaring up, so I did not make it to the MOT station till this morning. It past, so it is now officially back on the road. New tyres ordered and booked in for a service on Thursday...
