    What camping equipment

Agree, can't see that first one surviving a day on a tasty lane! Second one looks cool but I have to say I like my drop down table and my more rough and ready setup of single burner and box of utensils pots etc plus a camp oven and the firepit/grill... in fairness I'd probably think...

    FT’s Patrol Project

Shared by the Y60s and was the same on my old shoguns :( I take a boot brush and hand to the inner lip every time I come back from offroading to get rid of the build up asap.

    Oil light

Ah got you now dude :thumb2 Nah just the one seal, no issue with a little bit of oil left sitting behind that after you've dropped the diff drain plug. It sounded to me like the axle had still been partially full of oil when you were doing it which was why i was confused! Yeh good idea to...

    Oil light

But if the oil was drained out of the axle so you could replace the bearings and axle seal then there shouldn't have been any oil to come past the seal when you were relocating the drive shaft? :nenau

    Oil light

Did you not still have the diff oil all drained from the axle at that point though?

    Oil light

Yeh if you were seeping oil from the swivel then there would have been oil pooled in the swivel hub as once the axle seal has gone the diff oil leaks past the seal and pools in the swivel then seeps out the scraper seals. In normal service with a working axle seal the swivel shouldn't have any...

    Oil light

Unless you've used different grease in the swivel hub bearings and your cv joint I wouldn't bother as they're only really there to stop the grease mixing if you use different types :nenau

    Oil light

Full shebang then! I'm guessing you did the hub bearings as well?

    1999 Terrano pick up project

The Aussies have some cracking dual cab Trol ute conversion companies. I love the idea of a tray with removable sides and a removable half length storage box (so you've still got some flatbed even with the box in it) and a bolt on/off frame with a rack for a RTT . Anyone who watches 4wd...

    Oil light

I tried that and gave up getting things to work with the factory pressure switches in the end. Thing is even if you can get the pressure switches (and therefore the warning light) functioning as they should, one of the switches WILL go again and end up needing replaced (and like I said it's...

    Oil light

Do you mean the sender for your gauge? Most tend to be 1/8 ntp but you can get adapters fairly readily from memory I think, sorry dude was a few years (and a whole Trol) ago :(

    Oil light

1/8 bspt is what you want from memory. Both pressure switches are the same thread size anyway. Just looking at your previous post again, I'm confused as turbo and alternator are on the same side of the engine. There's only one switch (the low pressure one) on that side, underneath the turbo...

    Well..

Sorry, panelbeater too. My point was Zippy asked about winch bumpers, not the well documented chassis issues :nenau
  15. Barrbeast

    Well..

Yeh but that's not a Navara bumper Doug so will need fettling. I'm surprised there isn't more offering on eBay to be honest :nenau Jim, macabethiel, guys lets stay on point here ie. winch bumpers. He didn't ask about the chassis issues and I think we can assume Zippy's mate has checked the...

    Oil light

Doesn't matter which one you run the gauge from, low pressure one (passenger side) is the easier one to get to so just use that :nenau

    Corona virus

Rick South Korea's success in dealing with it has nothing to do with them "keeping going" :doh It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact they had a bad time of it 5 years ago with the MERS outbreak and got a lot of criticism so they already had procedures and infrastructure in place to react...

    Sheffield-ish garage

You don't need to order it from Oz, plenty UK sources like Milners https://www.milneroffroad.com/nissan-patrol-3-5-door-3-diesel-from-2000-to-2009-y61zd/product/front-wheel-bearings-hubs-upright-components-axhf-ax/drive-shaft-seal-34mm-id-006738/006738 Like Rick says though, may as well do the...

    Sheffield-ish garage

To be honest dude, it sounds like your garage just can't be bothered!:nenau Full axle replacement is NOT required. It sounds like they've not identified a knackered swivel bearing to cause it (these can lead to movement which causes the axle seal to leak) so it sounds like the axle seal has...

    Minor oil ingress beneath Intercooler

Is it a 3.0 or 2.7? If it's a 3.0 then it's the same ZD30 as the Trols so don't blank the egr without doing something to control the boost as otherwise the engine could start overboosting. On the intercooler, as said it's not unusual to get a bit of oil in the intercooler but if it's leaking...
