    Engine dies

Think it was a Terrano so will have been the DI, only the later (about 07 on) Trols had the common rail

Bess - 4.2 Diesel Safari SWB Ongoing

A few months back I picked up a spare rear propshaft for Bess thinking to recondition it then swap with the existing but bonus was when it arrived and the UJs were perfect. Cleaned up/replaced the grease nipples and it was good to go :thumb2 Finally got it fitted on Sunday and now I can work...

    Dirty Lockdown Secret

I looked at a few ute chop threads and it looks like a few have maybe gone for a more functional than neat weld and then tidied it with filler dude

Yeh same as mine! I'm really tempted to buy some metal gullwing hatches from Oz...

    Oil light

Like Rick says, 12 bar is too high, do you mean 1.2 bar? There's no factory gauge, it's just an on/off pressure switch which like I said frequently fails. Have a play but as said if you earth the high pressure switch on the driver's (I think that's the right one) you should turn the light off...

    Oil light

Unless you've got play in the ball joints on your existing relay rod or your steering wheel is out of alignment I wouldn't be overly rushing to get an adjustable one as the stock relay rod is perfectly sturdy. I have/had adjustable ones from Pedders on all my Trols. The Y61 was so I could...

    Hi guys

Rick mate, give it a rest as you're like a broken record. Unless anyone has a working crystal ball we won't actually ever know for certain whether it has made any difference or not. All we can do is form our own views on it and we know we all have different ones (and we all know yours). End of...

    Never owned a Patrol!

As said, rust is the main thing. Don't be too alarmed by rust on the rad crossmember as that is VERY common (it's called the factory rust for a reason!). You shouldn't go through parts too much (at least once any existing issues are sorted) as the Trols are very strong, Aussies love them and...

    Oil light

Crack on then dude but just be wary of moving the axle weak point into areas that are more of a hassle to fix!

Always carry a drill when laning so if need be I could drill it out :thumbs

    Oil light

I know what you mean but the only thing is dude, you put tougher hubs on you are likely just going to move the point of breakage further into the axle. A hub breaking is annoying but really easy to replace compared to a CV or something else, especially on track :nenau

    Oil light

Those are the XP (extreme performance) AVM hubs, I would say you'd be fine with silver/red HP AVM hubs or even the silver/black standard AVMs :nenau I had HP AVMs on my previous Y61 and never broke one, even with a Lokka but my Y60 came with the standard AVMs and touch wood I've had no issues...

Double check for play before you go messing about with removing shims, most folk just put the same shims back in and usually don't have a problem. Google "Patrol Death Wobble" there can be many causes but worn panhard bushes seem to be a common one.

    Elty001's terrano project

    Yeh mine's a Winchmax as well dude, no complaints 24v 17000lb :thumb2:D

    Elty001's terrano project

Yeh 40kg is nothing for a winch bumper :thumb2 Don't have a figure but the one on Bess weighs more than that.
