    Bargain?

And thrashed to within an inch of it's life.

    Y60 undersealed from factory ?

No, I've had to protect all the Skylines and the Stagea that I had, and since my Patrol isn't a UK model I'm guessing that would have been the same. Anyway it just goes with all the evidence that shows someone looked after my motor well in it's early life.

    How much ??????

It's a super rare Nisan Tranno. Only one in existence that's why it's worth a lot.

    Y60 undersealed from factory ?

I've been out today waxing inside my chassis and sills and it occurred to me that all the Jap import cars I've owned in the past were devoid of underseal. My safari has been undersealed all underneath the bodyshell and on the chassis and I can't find anything more significant that surface rust...

Been lurking for a while, now joined up

If you do it that way, just a little tip, do it with the axles on the radius arms because it's not just a case of moving the hole downwards, it has to move in a slight arc. I used verniers to ensure equal distances on each side and a flat ended die grinder bit with a steady hand so as not to...

Been lurking for a while, now joined up

After the lift the steering was ok but quite "twitchy" and although it was perfectly driveable I just didn't like it. Since I plan on doing some greenlaning I didn't want caster correction bushes with only a little bit of flexible material on one side so I elongated the front holes in the axles...

Been lurking for a while, now joined up

So far as well as what you can see in the pics I've done +2" springs, front axle caster adjusted, polybushed rear trailing arms, mt75 oil in the main box, decent stereo, cat1 alarm, fuel turned up on the pump. To do, snorkel, fabricate underbody protection winch bumper and winch, build a freer...

    TD42 oil filters

Just done second service on my Y60 since I've managed to cover nearly 6000kms in my first 3 months of ownership and after a bit of research I decided to try K&N oil filters to get the oil pressure up sooner. The TD42's often take a good few seconds to get oil pressure after start up and whilst...

Been lurking for a while, now joined up

Hi all, I've been hanging around here for a while and posted a few pics of my Y60 Patrol and I thought it was time to join the club properly. I have been in engineering and the motor trade for years and the last 5 years I've been working on Railway trains. I used to be a big...

    In the snow

Thanks. I know it wasn't at all deep here, hardly taxing but it was just a quick photo at a safe place to stop. Pushed on through much worse about a mile up the road.

    In the snow

I would have liked to go and have a play but I was on the way to work this morning and it was 5am.

    My new toy

Nice one. It's been a long time since I've used one of those and it takes some practice to get the bends in the right place. I made up a full cage for a customer with a Disco as well as sliders and a winch bumper. Never seemed to need the sand trick though.

    My Patrol

I've spent quite a bit of time over the years working on/building motors, ex independent Land rover mechanic, landy owner, Skyline owner and general petrolhead etc so I've made many exhaust systems up and right now I might just take out the massive silencer and put in a straight through box...

    My Patrol

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure about turbocharging it at the moment. I've turned up the fuel and it goes much better than when I got it. It must have been set very emission friendly originally because I've never owned a diesel that black smoked as little as this did. I could turn it up...

    My Patrol

Here's my 1993 Lwb TD42 which I've owned for about 3 months. I'm slowly working through it as a project. So far put new springs on and polybushed the rear trailing arms, new wheels and tyres, resprayed satin black, made the light bar up, new stereo and a cat 1 alarm. Done a full service and a...
