1st time towing wiv the maverick

As Zippy says. It's easy to forget its there and bomb up to a roundabout only to have to slam on at the last second. Mine's 1600Kg but i think the max is 2800Kg and the towball limit is 120Kg. (iirc). Ned

Got the mechanic out and he explained that the ignition barrel was also on it's way out and that i had to turn the key slowly. :nenau This was the cause of the starter...

    Aaarghh!! Fire Fire!!

Garage just rang to say it wasn't the oil leak, the starter motor had burnt out and everything else seems OK. The bad news is that a new one is £490 + vat from Nissan. They're ringing round to try and source a cheaper one. A quick google search found some for £180 - £220 pound mark (OEM), what...

    Aaarghh!! Fire Fire!!

Was on the way to my sisters on Saturday and had just got on the Motorway when the kids piped up "Whats that smell Dad". I thought it was coming from elsewhere until i looked in my rear view mirror and saw a James Bond like smoke screen behind me. I pulled onto the hard shoulder just as my ABS...

Hi - New to Site - After some advice please!

When i'm towing my caravan (twin axle - >1600Kg) it will quite happily tug uphill in 1st gear (in 2h) at about walking pace without me touching the pedals. Awesome.

    Black smoke on acceleration

This worked a treat on mine, looked like James Bond laying a smoke screen flaying it down the motorway but after that was clear.:thumb2

Awaiting the trip to France. Gorgeous weather setting off, got to the docks to find i had forgot to empty the loo the last time we were in the van :doh. The stench was something else. Still knocks the kids sick thinking of it.

Ford Maverick front wiper motor removal

Nice One Swanny My wipers stopped in the middle of the windscreen a few days ago. I could hear the motor running and both wipers moved when i tried them by hand. I followed your instructions and the nut holding the mechanism to the motor was loose, bit of a bugger to get tight again and on the...
