The stereo came with a sliver bullet like adaptor, with a hole at one end and a long plug at the other.

no mine is the single radio, hazard switch underneath with cup holder and rear window switch.

It's cheaper and easier just to grease them up, apparently the plastic stops don't last too long.

I had the same problem when i bought my terrano, got a cold sweat when i first heard it, then these guys sorted it out straight away, 4 large blobs of grease, still quiet after 3 months. Gonna put some more on before the weather changes.
