Think I got it sorted, fingers crossed! A wire on the relay next to battery was green and knackered connection. Cut wire, re-made off and re-connected, went first turn! Wait for morning to find out properly! Thanks for everyones suggestions.

Yes, took battery off car totally. Glow Plug light comes on and goes off after a few seconds, I'm assuming that means they're working?
