The doctor told my mate this week that he has Swine flu, so I have a sneaky feeling it is out there right now. Swine flu does exist, so why should it not be here right now? It doesn't just disappear. Anyway, I'm feeling better now, but not completely. Well enough to go and do some work.

My heater has been great since I changed the thermostat. It peaked at -8 here yesterday and it was plenty hot enough tootling around the lanes.

I would suspect the diesel being on the borderline of freezing. Any water in the fuel system will make it worse. Rightly or wrongly I feel it is best to keep the tank pretty full in these conditions, same with my tractors. :)

And if it still goes into a skid just steer it as best you can. Don't put your foot on the brakes. If it is going to grip again it will, honestly, just steering and nothing else is your best bet.
