Sorry, that bit isn't normal. What I meant was that if you have a LSD, both wheels will turn the same way. Can you turn one lifted wheel if it is in neutral?

Normal, and how you would check if a LSD is fitted.

That's not hot. I don't know the operating temp of the thermostat on Nissans, but I would expect it to be more than 85C before it even opens. I once had lots of overheating problems in an old car of mine. Turned out the temp sender was faulty and it wasn't overheating at all. :augie

Make sure you take the lid off first. If you don't it will explode waxoil everywhere. Guess how I know this. :doh

A length of carpet doubled over through the bottom rung on the ramps. Once the wheel is on the carpet it can't "skate" away from the car.

This is in my Cabstar, but the engine itself came out of a Mistral. It is a 2.7TD mechanical fuel system. When started from cold it smokes excessively and will not clear until it has been revved past 2500rpm or warmed up. The smoke is from fuel as I can smell it, it also coughs and splutters a...

I mean I put tape on the bar to make it the right diameter for inside the new bushes. The bushes were only a year old and needed replacing, the bar itself was worn. I still have it knocking about somewhere I will measure how much it had worn.

Has anyone had any problem with the roll bar itself wearing, where the rubber bushes that hold it to the crossmember are. I don't mean the droplinks, I mean the bits that hold the rollbar on. My Cabstar is the same setup and i got an extra year out of it before having to buy a whole new rollbar...

When fitting a new shock absorber (SWB Terrano II passenger side) put the bottom eye on first. If you put the top one on first you can't get the bottom one on. This is a sharp PITA if you have struggled to get the top nut on before you discover it.
