  1. MicraShed

    Newbie

I spent ages looking at Frontera's - then I drove a SWB A-series. Woefully underpowered. Then I looked at the Terrano II. Then I bought a Maverick (same car). They rust, but aside from that they are great. Welcome :D

Went to Block & Quayle early on and the car park was almost empty, cam out to find this parked next to me making me feel small! Bet mine costs a lot less though.

    If I didn't laugh i'd cry

I feel your pain, anyone who has any dealings with BX's will know they shear bleed nipples for fun. What should have been a simple job to swap over a calliper with an exchange unit turned into four hours of fun* when a spring clip made a bid for freedom and I was left with an immobile hulk on...

Not a lot new to report - Electric aerial now working again. I have no idea which one the radio is plumbed into mind as I have a roof mounted one (fitted with the aerial off the Micra) and this one - neither one seem to make any difference to the reception which is pretty good across the...

Moonraker modulator and a Midland 98 - that rig should not suffer bleed over (stuff on one channel being heard on another) Its probably a combo of the skip and people using big power outputs. Not a right lot you can do Im afraid.

Do you mean you are getting bleedover onto other channels? There isnt a right lot you can do about that apart from try a different radio perhaps - what rig are you running? Its quite likely a lot of the chatter you are getting will be down in part to people pushing high power outputs. It also...

    Loss of a legend

How sad, and i learn about it as ever with the news from the message boards. Im spending too much time at work :( I trod on his foot once in Manchester. He called me a "bloody great oaf". He will be missed.

    Two stroke in fuel

Well, the experiment begins then. The HDi has had 100ml of Millers and 250ml of 2 stroke to a full tank (80L) The Maverick has had 50ml of Millers and 250ml of 2 stroke to a full tank (70L) I'll see what if any difference they make.

The cream one is a 1937 Morris 8, the yellow and black one is a 1933 Ten-Four ( the donor bodyshell is a 1934). Both cars have been previously owned by Bob in the 1950's.

Its fine, Ive already had some interesting spirited sideways action on the J1 M65 roundabout with it. I agree that it isn't as quick off the mark as her HDi, but also that in a tugging contest her HDi would lose out big time despite being reasonably equally matched for weight. Im happy with it...

    MicraSheds Machine

Mrs Micrashed got to grips with it today, but says she found it "sluggish" compared to her car and "agricultural". I kept telling her its a towing tool and plaything not a ruddy sports car. It may be a bit slower than her 2 litre but at least this one will be able to pull the skin off a rice...

Nah, fraid not I did once chat to someone in Asda though:augie. Germany was as far as I ever got when the skip was running. IoM was easy for me from Heysham though, even with a standard set up. Just the location I suppose. There were a couple of spots around the Fylde that seemed to have magic...

    Two stroke in fuel

Cheers. I have heard of this before but not actually experienced anyone doing it. As well as the MicraShed (petrol) I have a HDi engined PSA Eurovan which despite being low milage smokes like a beagle when clogged. I have adjusted the fueling, the timing is bob on and the injectors are only...
