Does your Mav have abs ? This happened to me with another vehicle (not a Mav) that had abs. The brake pedal went very hard..almost impossible to depress...on investigation it turned out to be a loose connection on the abs pump/unit. The pump was not operating resulting in no pressure from pump...

I think it would be impossible to solder on the flimsy see through film that the circuits are printed on...as soon as you brought a hot soldering iron near it it would crinkle and shrivel up :lol: I found the repair pen I was talking about..Maplins do it..but it costs £21..could work...

DO you know what...I don't think I do...I was out working on it all morning trying to figure it out...find the abs pump and ecu...as I said I couldn't see anything that looked like an abs unit..then I looked in the relay/fuse box under bonnet on driver's side...on the lid of the box it lists ABS...

The plot thickens..... Well I was up early this morning and decided to take bull by horns and attempt to get the instrument pod out....my apprehension about doing this turned out to be totally unfounded...it was easy This is what I discovered...some of the tracks on the flimsy circuit film...

Hi Steve Thanks for the welcome mate... I live just outside Glasgow...On the Paisley road... This is the third 4x4 vehicle that I have owned..actually I still have one of the other two...its a Mahindra Jeep...manufactured in India...looks like a Willys CJ3B...fantastic fun offroad...not much...

I can't say that there are obvious signs that the dash has been removed before...but I am quite prepared to take it out myself.....however without a manual I need someone to point me in the right direction...i.e. any hidden screws etc Is the instrument pod the same in both a 96-00 Mav and a Mk...

Hi..thanks for that...should have said that I had checked fuses and all seem fine... The fact that only one indicator arrow works suggests bulb to me...I agree with you that it would be odd for several bulbs to blow at the same time...however I have only recently bought the vehicle so I dont...
