    Terrano Diesel Pump

As some of you know, my truck has been unwell for a while. Stealers say its a little 3 pin unit held on the diesel pump with sheer bolts. Apparently, this doesn't come seperatly. Diesel pump part number; 167001f200 Mk1 non intercooler (square headlight) Terrano II, mechanical pump. Thanks...

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

FINALLY! Right, we have a solid diagnosis! Apparently, the ecu fault code was simply because Richmonds software was too new. :doh Having sourced an older code reader, it appears its some kind of control unit/solenoid on the back of the diesel pump (Not the fuel cut off, or the other one, this...

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

Lmao, my IMMU sequance is easy. Ign off, blinks once every 5 secs. Ign on, solid. ( was on for a couple of secs, then off) I havent given up on the immobilser, but the bypass didnt work, and the ECU cannot be read, so if the car cant see the brain, well, we shall see.

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

tried the bypass, but to no avail. owever, until they can talk to the ECU, theres not much point in going further with the immu, i mean, they cant even get the codes without talking to the ecu first!

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

Tried one, still the same answer. Methinks the fault lies somewhere in the wiring, perhaps

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

The coil only reads the key, it's the immu that's the delecate bit. The mil is the engine management light in the instrument cluster, the one on the top of the dash is the immobilizer light. And no, unplugging and ecu will not reset it, otherwise every time your battery goes flat or gets...

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

Apparently the issue they are having is that the diag won't talk to the ECU, reporting 'ECU comms failure'. As these vehicles dont have a can-bus, and all the lives/earth check out, it MUST be a wiring fault. I'll keep you guys updated as we go on!
  9. thecrazycabbage

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

Tried putting a bulb in, no MIL light at all. With ign off, the imm light blinks, ign on, its solid. I tried a second coil, and a second key/immu unit, but i dont think it was right for the vehicle. The problem seems to be, the nissan dealer cant talk to the ECU, it just refuses to talk to it

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

I've had her 3 years, and it's never had a mil light, in fact, when I took the dash out, it didn't even have a bulb holder, nor any marks suggesting it had any. I had tried substituting the oil pressure light in it's place, but it didn't illuminate. As such, no, I havent been able to check for...

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

Not sure, think its a zexel. Its this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181265623252?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Apparently, even with the new one, the diagnostics isnt talking to it, thus, they cant find the fault. I cant find enough info on these systems to be able to make...

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

**UPDATE 2** after fitting the ECU, its now NOT the ecu, as the diagnostics is still not talking to it. Im seriously starting to think about scrapping her, as im not going to be able to afford these bills for much longer =( Any ideas guys?

Regarding caster/camber and toe, on both front and rears, on just about any car, I work in Harrogate at the dreaded KwikFit. We have a Hunter wheel digital wheel aligner. It really is the dogs Bollocks! Not all the KwikFits have them, but it may be worthwhile asking the question. I work in the...

Hello and help - immobilizer fault

**UPDATE** Well, i got a phone call today from richmond. Apparently, nothing is talking to the ECU. After checking fuses and wiring, they have come to the conclusion its the ECU thats at fault. Imma get a 2nd hand one, and they'll recode it for £75.00, lets see what happens.....

    Breaking Terrano 2 and Mavericks

No, uunfortunately not. Tried another ant unit, but no luck. Going to try an immu + key, see what happens. I may have another fault, but until I can rule out the immobilizer, I really have nowhere else to go. QUOTE=solarman216;232555]no sorry it does not, different system altogether, guess...
