Like perelaar I got mine to be able to ferry my dog around my shoot before I seriously injured my V70. At the moment I've kept it as standard and not done any major off-roading. I've got a shooting mate who is also a very good truck mechanic who goes green laning, so at some stage I'll join him...

Unfortunately not. Just checked an 1988 Astra SRI that I personally scrapped in 2002 and it's listed as untaxed and no MOT details held by DVLA. Wish I could remember my Honda Superdream and Cortina's registrations lol. First motor bike and car.

Too true, and since I've had mine from new I've got a bit older in those 13+ years. I'd be a very happy old man driving it around in another 13+ years. Once had it cruising at 130mph on an appropriate road on the continent and it was rock solid :thumbs:thumbs I'm still working on kicking out...

Might get into racing the D5 and T2 up the hills for a laugh. Thing is we have a Golf TDi that is just silly fast for a diesel engine once its wheels are rolling. So the hierarchy goes truck, cruiser and go-kart. We also have my daughter's Fiasco, or is that a Fiesta? Can never remember lol...
