Thanks for that TD. Runny stuff that will set might just do the job with compression fittings. The stuff I've got from plumbing use is Fernox LS-X, which is great for general use but I'm not sure about its resistance to aircon refrigerant and oil.

Davey Boy, I ran two core wire for both gauges from the radio supply so they both get power at ignition. The egt gauge would have needed it anyway so I just wired both up. It's interesting that the diesel specific boost gauge is a little more expensive than the others from the same range at...

Knocked together a box for the gauges from an old electrical appliance case. I wanted both in the same place where I could easily keep an eye on them without being distracted from the road. I also wanted the boost gauge in line of sight with the rev counter. A bit rough and ready but it will do...

Have not found anyone to quote for TIG welding this pipe yet but one place offered to use Vulkan Lokring connectors to repair it. I got a quote from the main dealer for a new pipe for £100, although the picture of the parts was a joke with the feed and return pipes to the evaporator upside...
