Hellooooo
Hi All,
I hope you`ll accept me on this forum because I run a modified Frontera. I`ll be honest the main reason for joining is that I require as much info on the Patrol GQ. Reason being when funds allow I wish to fit a pair of axles off this model onto my Frontera. So all help would be appreciated on drawings/wiring diagrams/suspension specs etc. thanks in advance, Dave. |

plus with all the other issues involved AND the usual fronty issues you'd be better of looking for a trol and just run that... but if your serious im interested . looked into it for my t2 but lots of work and all trial and error... keep me posted on developments maybe swap some ideas |

Thanks for the interest. Like I say need to gather a lot more info firstly before I commit. A few of my mates went down the yota hilux leaf sprung axles on their Fronteras. I just wanna try something else.

I agree we all have to learn somewhere, but unfortunately in the past on other forums he used to post inaccurate info having no knowledge of the thread or not done the work. Anyway lets close this topic on Carl, the past is the past. I`m not here to knock folk down, I`m here to gain info. |

question still remains ... why would someone want to plough so much time, money and effort into a fronty
yes as a cheep motor they are ok . but as an off roader what possible advantages is there to a fronty compared to the many other 4x4's that most are more capable as a base vehicle thats the bit i cant get my head around great put a live axel on the front, but you still have a heavy truck with massive over hangs and a week engine. they dont have lsd on the rear either do they ??? so whats the attraction to them |

Again thanks for your comments guys, as they say each to their own.
At the moment my Fronty is more than capable, it runs ARB`s front n rear and lifted. Its just that I feel when funds allow to modify my vehicle further. Thanks for the Link by the way. Have you got a link for the Y60 aswell?? What is the British equivalent to the Patrol GQ?? |
