Default 4x4 holidays in Spain

A friend of mine is thinking of buying some farmland and starting a 4x4 holiday business in Castril (see www.beautifulcastril.com) for people to practice their 4x4 skills and maybe even have the odd beer afterwards.

We would like to know how much interest there would be in some such venture. Flights from Gatwick to Granada are very reasonable as is accomodation in the area.

All commnets will be gratefully appreciated.

I'd be more interested in an overlanding tour of the area, if they'd be up to organising something like that.

I'd say own.
No harm in him having a few of his own or having a deal with someone like http://www.uro-camper.com/web/es/qui...mper-vivienda/. They used to do rentals, I can't see anything now though.
What's the score with Guardia civil cracking down on off-roading?

Thumbs down I just can't be cruel to my Motor !

Might be different if I had a dedicated 4x4 that I trailer-ed around but as much as I like to watch off roading I just could not hurt my Motor.

I even slow down for speed humps to be kind to my suspension. Might be my age as when I was in my early twenty's I used to roar round an old quarry in my Alfa or on my old Triumph 21.

The thought of all the mud getting into the bodywork crevices and holding water so it rusts quicker........nah.

He might want to make sure he'll actually be allowed to convert farmland into a 4x4 track - and have it in official writing
