As the title says, she was running low on fuel 50/50 mix, filled up 20 litres if diesel holy night before last, fired up after meal with family, fired up fine, drove across carpark fine, when giving truck revs there was a good cough through the revs, once home and warm no cough?

Either glow plugs are weak I suspect, or remap is now chucking in more fuel and drowning plugs :nenau

When we revved it once home it did smell a bit "different" no smoke :nenau

No plugs to drown on a diesel mate.
Mine is sluggish and gutless if I don't warm up for a few mins before driving.

I was talking glow plugs as opposed to spark :)

Mine did this a few times on the old plugs, but used to cough on idle too.

saying that the plugs turn off at 50 degrees, running on SVO on the move neat could cause a cough but had just filled up £20 diesel, still dregs of SVO i guess... :nenau

Nothing to panic about I guess :p

Like Elty says, just clearing it's throat :thumb2 The fact it runs fine once warm is the telling point, it's a diesel engine thing. Trol always runs a little rougher/sluggish before she's warmed up, especially on a cold morning, so like Elty I usually give her a few mins to warm up before driving - sorts her right out!

All the glowplugs do is heat up so drowning them wouldn't really make any difference. Your remap will probably be chucking in extra juice so I guess it will increase the initial cold engine "cough".
