Hi guy's I'm miffed with synchronising my calendars! Basically I share my calendar between my devices and also my wife's devices so that we can easily tell what one another have planned.
I have a laptop and run Outlook, used to use google synchronise but this has now stopped working because google stopped it working because they can:doh.

We both have android phones and I also have an ipad. At one time everything was fine and dandy when all 3 devices all sync'd together and until google stopped google sync working so did our laptops.

Now the strange thing is ive got two birthdays on mine that no matter what i can't delete because they just come back again (cosmic and stephen tweedie both members on here i think). Where are they coming from and why cant I delete them, same as orange day in ni won't delete.

No idea where these birthdays have come from either.

Does anyone know how to get them all working again.
I'm Assuming Google, Apple and Microsoft want us to have one or the other but not each others calendars.

hey Jim,

I suspect they are recurring entries? If not, then you are probably deleting them, but then its syncing back from the server (server wins). As for Google syncing with Outlook, ill check that because mine does it ok, but maybe my setup is different.

Hi Clive, my biggest problem is that Im trying to sync across three platforms and the providers of the platforms don't want me to.

I installed a program called Google Synchronise which sync'd between Microsoft Outlook part of Office and my Google calendar which is part of my gmail account. That worked fine but google sent an email back in August I think it was saying that they were pulling the plug on that software.

Yeah I know the birthdays and other events are coming froma server but which server? That said the idea of sync is that you can add and delete entries and it replicates across devices. But where are these entries coming from because I know that I haven't added people's birthdays. I'd love to delete these entries to simplify my calendar.

oh hold on, Google will sync birthday details from everywhere - contacts etc stored on your phone. probably that?
