Default jerry cans

im stocking up with veg oil for when we go wales.
Im thinking of getting a couple of jerry cans as room in the car will be limited with the amount of camping gear we take

any one got any ideas where to or how to fit them to the out side of me truck?

only idea I have so far is to move the roof rack bars close together with just enough room to fit them in? and strap em on.

Put the spare on the roof and Jerry cans on the door. You can get ready made lockable hangers for them too

I always worry about storing veg in jerry cans, I have fears that I'll just open it one day and it would all be mouldy

you are allowed to use 2500ltrs per year if not used for business. anything over that you are liable for tax. you are required to keep a log of useage, for the tax man to look over if required by the rozzers. i usually keep my reciepts from costco in the glove box just incase, tho technically i should have a log book in the vehicle. it is not illegal in any shape or form, unless commercial bud

You are allowed to use upto 2500 litres per year but you need to keep receipts cus if you do get checked they want proof that you have not used more than 2500 litres in a 12 month period

I'm too lazy to keep receipts but I would expect that an Mot certificate should suffice to prove mileage travelled within the 12month period, and volume of fuel used based on the manufacturers stated fuel consumption figures...
The receipt idea is frankly ridiculous anyway, what if you accidentally mislaid a few...
Receipt idea is based on honesty. The powers that be would probably turn to the idea I've just laid out above if they really wanted to put a case against you! Then you're back to defending yourself on a pile of receipts, or the appropriate amount based on the argument that you don't use veg oil full time.

Could they seriously come up with a more idiotic idea?!

I've not heard about the receipts thing, that's right gay
As above 2500 litres, even in the Trol, will get some serious miles.
I reckon they'd have a job to prove you've used more than 2500, so why bother being paranoid.
Live for today and screw the system, it's shagged anyway

its the law, i didnt right it, gay or not
basics of tax paying are reciepts, not just writing shit in a log book. its fact not fiction.
so thats the legalities sorted.
