Bratford
Yup Bradistan did my four year sandwich course degree in Chemical Engineering from 1967 to 1971. One of the best 4 years of my life as a student on a full grant !
The Uni sent me to four different firms each year for Industrial Experience, 6 months at Associated Octel in Ellesmere Port they made the Tetra-ethyl Lead in Petrol. 6 months at Laporte Industries in Stallingborough making white paint pigments. 6 months in Krefeld Germany working for Maitzena Werke G.M.B.H. making Glucose etc. 6 months in East Leak working for B.P.B.Industries making Plaster Board from Gypsum. Best Curry House was the Taj Mahal on Great Horton Road ! Happy days ! |
