Wheelspin !

Now the wet weather has arrived I'm wheelspinning more than I ever have in any vehicle ever!

Slightest hill start and I have to be gentle on the throttle - I don't think my rear tyres are going to last long

I'm missing the electronic 4wd selection on my old Surf - on for pulling away, then switch off

I don't think I'd get away with doing that in the Terrano.....

, it's like with my mum's vauxhall on grass or wet tar i'll try and get the RPMs and speedo to up in sync lol

Neither do I, but if you have unequal tread depth or different tyres on the back, then the Limited Slip Diff will be trying to slip, which on a wet road will enourage one wheel to start wheel spin.

So check your rear wheels, try it with a matchingpair, andI think you will see the difference.

the rears are grabberAT2 s. granted they are about 4 to 5 mm tread left, but it happily spins both rears in a straight line in 1st gear in the wet.

rear diff oil just replaced with proper LSD oil.

Maybe I need lighter shoes......

Put a few bags of gravel (ballast) over the rear axle.

A lighter right foot will help, but expect a lively back end when we have the white stuff

When my Dad had a 2 1/4 litre petrol LR Series II sometimes we started off in second gear on the level.
Not sure what that will do to your clutch, but will probably stop the wheel spin.

What pressures do you have in those washers , er I mean . tyres

Over inflation will also encourage wheel shpin
