Hi all, went out and got a new fuel filter and picked up a diesel treatment but don't know if I should do the filter first or the treatment :augie

what he says. you get a more direct treatment of the injectors this way-which is what you are wanting to do-clean those injectors.

that is the whole point, carbon build up is the reason injectors fail (apart from water and other crap ) so what dissolves carbon, ....nothing in the known world, so do not waste your money, Rick

How do you prime it ?
How do you prime it, I can see there is some sort of plastic valve which I think lets fuel out of the bottom of the filter

Fill the filter as much as possible, in my experiance the primer still takes a long time so don't think it's not working, just keep at it LOL.

In my opinion...
Forte products are good. Leave a carbon covered component to soak in cleaner and you will be able to scrape off the carbon with a finger nail. The trouble is it is heavily diluted when mixed with fuel.
It's like Sensodyne toothpaste, (Bare with me) It's not brilliant when you clean your teeth with it, but dabbed on neat and left for a while, it is quite effective.
Saying that though, from memory, I don't think Forte claim that their petrol and diesel cleaners actually fully clean injectors. Research time...
