You forgot undoing wrong drain plug and emptying contents of front diff, then having to syringe it all back in again....

What about getting the wrong filter and it won't fit, meaning you have to refit the old filter and fill with new oil, then drive to the factors with a new filter covered in oil that the shop won't give a refund or exchange on.

When you get home you then have to refit the new filter and top up the oil.

However if you have shoved a big screwdriver through the old filter you are now stuck.

Listen to the wife next time...

This is why when I am working on a car, I drive the wife to work, so I have her car, just in case I get stuck.

It has happened to me before, wrong brake shoes, wrong bearings etc etc ...
