Default Fuel Consumption

I was in Didcot last night and an identical SWB TR2 pulled up next to me at the service station. He had a caravan on the back and had just completed an 800 mile Spain trip.Done 80 thousand miles without any trouble including 5 Spain trips.Forgot to ask if he was a member but was suitably impressed anyway.Another happy customer.

I did a casual economy check this week end and have a guesstimate of 150 miles on 10/11L of fuel.Bit of urban travel but mostly open road. Not too bad methinks even if a bit optimistic..

30 to the gallon here, mainly 30/40 mile country road trips, 3/400 miles per week, pretty reasonable really. Get it on motorway and it`s terrible

13l per 100km or 7.6km/litre or 18mpg - round town, unloaded

10.8l per 100km or 9.2km/litre or 22mpg - 600km trip (375mi), family and crap for two days

I either need a smaller boot or my injectors need doing

Possibly due to my driving style, hate motorways so don`t have an accelerator, just an on /off lever whereas on country roads, my speed is limited to conditions of the road ergo sensible driving. Boring but fairly fuel efficient.

Lol Nah I gave up that lead foot when i ended up with a reduced budget to work from, but back roads I'm the same on depends on if I know the rd and conditions! Well I put £20 (13.4lyrs) n I've so far done 80 mile (red disincluded as I neva go on it) all small journeys n still got some!

28-30 average, mix of mostly 50/60 mph fast A roads and a little local driving...... usually get about 200 miles to half a tank (using the guage as reference) I guess about £45 a time to fill back up (never go below half a tank if poss as the bloody guage sticks at a quarter if it drops that low )
