Default And another one for the techies....

I have some films on my PC which I would like to transfer to my PVR so I can watch on TV instead of th PC. Really looking for info on good, fast MP4 conversion programs. I have tried a few but they are really slow and also don't seem to work. Anybody done this or know the best, quickest way. Tons of info on the internet about going PVR to PC but not the other way. Currently trying Ultra MP4 converter but it is still converting so I don't know yet if it will do the job. PC is high spec and the external HDD is a WD 1TB hooked up to a Triax 537 Combi.

whats a triax combi 537

could you not use an external media
hard drive, then just drag and drop
existing files and let hdd play them thru
tv.

i've got 2 500 sata drives, looking at a
media caddy, seen one on scan.co.uk
that has ethernet and usb input, and
usb host so another basic hdd can
piggy back.

You need to know what file formats the PVR will handle - DIVX is the best supported at the moment and there are squillions of convertors out there.

Thank you 3T2, that sounds like just what I need. Further investigation will be done asap. I've tried every converter out there but as I'm just using an ordinary external HDD, for some reason it's not picking them up. Seems like a media caddy is just what I need.
