Historical/Military research
I was wondering if anybody has used the services of this company http://www.nickintime.wanadoo.co.uk/ in researching Historical/Military records. My brother is trying to organise a family trip to locations in Belgium where my grandfather served between 1916-1918. Have you used or can you recommend someone who you found good and competitively priced.

I have no idea, but i do remember finding my father's uncle's grave in Belgium, (my great uncle) It was the only time i had ever seen my father cry. And the work he did tracking the grave down and the drive was all worth it.
all the best with your project |

I joined this site to do some research on my family - nice bunch of people and their specialist knowledge is mindblowing, several authors and researchers on there and they can talk about shirt buttons all day if you want to. http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php? I think they also have a section dealing with battlefield tours or will certainly recommend some. Can't rate them highly enough mate seriously. And its a fascinating site all round, some of the stuff I've learnt is amazing. Someone on here does go regularly as well, can't remember who it is though.... PS if you don't know where he's buried the Commonwealth War Graves site lists every burial and location if you have name, rough dates etc... |
