Default MOT

Just realised my mot runs out before the car is booked in for discs , pads and ARBs.

One pad is broken and the disc is scored ,ARBs are catholic (no rubbers)

But I have put a number plate on the bumper ;O)

Booked in for 4pm at same garage

Should be interesting.

Well it failed :O(

nearside brake pads metal to metal

ARB links foofed

both trackrod ends excessive play (that's an understatement)

First time the old girl has failed a mot ;O(

Old mot runs out on Sunday, thought is was earlier, ,car booked in Monday morning so will pass as soon as they do the work.

Bit of a result really as it's had some abuse this year :O)

Well since your car has failed you can no longer use it on the road, except to take it home once, and then only to drive it to a pre-booked MOT.

In the old days you could always drive it until the original expired, not the case now.

Best car I have ever owned.
Just wish I could drive it more.

You could get away with driving it if no one checked up and discovered it had been issued a fail. Once failed, no MOT exists for that vehicle always has been the case and nowadays its dead easy to find out.

Im sure the gentleman I spoke with on one occasion "in the old days" realised the flaw in keeping ALL car docs together for production
