obviously there are many more avenues of thought regarding the use of alternative fuels , the idea is to provide information and advice to those members considering the use of alternative fuels , so they can make a informed decision

good one.
I use new veg oil and diesel mixed, not sure of the exact quantities but probably 30'/, svo. No problems so far. Veg oil is cheaper than diesel, makes less pollution, and smells better. 3 good reasons to use it. If the fitter at my work is right my fuel pump is going to break due to lack of lubrication. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. |

Might just try that. I've been using petrol redex which has similar properties to 2 stroke oil.
I can remember when the garage near me had a redex pump on the wall for 2 stroke oil. It was right near the 2 star petrol pump ! |

I will wake in 2 stroke once i get back on bio & or veggie & i do know that 2 stroke oil will do jack diddly in damage terms to ya pump It will however help lubricate it
Even if running on just pump diesel it wouldn't hurt to expand the life of the pump |

By lifting your 4x4 2" by shock's or body lift will expand your engine & especially your fuel pump's lifespan

it's interesting but,the environmental effects of veg oil are a contentious issue, many 'experts' believe their environmental impact may be 5 times worse than fossil fuel (in a ver short form it is about the colateral methane emmisions fomr rotting plant material), but they are more sustainable (i.e. less likely to run out) so you may save a few pennies but you wont save the planet

I wish people would consider washing themselves less
The environment is suffering more from everyone washing morning AND night for no good reason, and having the audacity to use soap and shampoo and that with bloody palm oil in it NOW STOP IT please. |
