Default Stationary engine Wanted

I'm wanting a little petrol engine maybe 3Hp. Building a battery charger. Any ideas where I can get one cheap?

Solar panel might be more then secondhand engine in the short term but when u bought it no more money on petrol the sun is free well at the mo it is

Ok I just got a free lawnmow off a mate, only problem is the engine needs some work I need to stop saying yes to free junk but I just cant

What you really want is an old Lister CS genset. Big slow and fairly indestructible!

You got a generator to hook this up to? Might be simpler/cheaper to pick up and old genny instead? No where near as fun as bodging something together in a shed though!

This to charge up a battery just seams over kill all u need is a 80w solar panel might be more then gen but like I say u won't need fuel ever
