Default For Sale: 2005 Terrano 2.7 TDi LWB

Hi all,

Well after a being messed around attempting to sell the Terrano on eBay I'm going to offer it here at a reduced price. Although I buy a lot of stuff from eBay, selling on it and finding a serious buyer is a nightmare so I'm not too keen to go that route again... Rant over.

The details:

Nissan Terrano 2.7 TDi 7 Seater Long Wheel Base 2004 54 Plate Silver

After searching for months in order to find a rust free Terrano, I found this one owner car for sale locally about 12 months ago with masses of history (see last photo).

In my ownership the following is a brief description of what work has been carried out:

Replacement Reconditioned Gearbox
New Clutch including Release Bearing
New Spigot Bearing
New Front Brake Disks
New Front Brake Pads
New Rear Brake Shoes
Rear Axle LSD Oil Change
Engine Oil & Filter Change
Diesel Filter Change
New Top Ball Joint
New Bottom Ball Joint
New Anti Roll Bar Drop Links
Front Torsion Bars Re-indexed
New Battery
New Front Prop Universal Joints

The Terrano passed the last MOT with one advisory - corroded front exhaust section. I have bought the section (can be seen in the boot on one of the photos), but has since been fitted.

As regards the dreaded rust, this one is in remarkably good shape, probably due to it being owned by a local lady that had a place in Spain and for the first 7 or so years of it's life were spent sunning itself by the pool! The sills, wings, boot floor, seatbelt mounts and sills are all solid with no welding carried out as far as I can tell (and I looked hard before buying it).

I intended on keeping this Terrano a long time and as such I have made every effort to keep it in mechanically tip top condition, but I now have use of a company van and I have also treated myself to a new toy so this one has to go.

She starts and drives well with no nasty knocks and bangs. The four wheel drive system all works as it should in both high and low range.

The mileage, 183k: This is high but you all know these engines seem to go on forever - I would happily jump ion her and drive her any distance and in any conditions.

I have never off-roaded her and I doubt that the previous owner took her far from the tarmac.

The paintwork is not the best on this car - the paint is slightly dull on the O/S front wing and there are various areas on the plastic lower trim panels where the paint has flaked - it doesn't worry me but wouldn't be a terrifically expensive job to have made very pretty again. There is a small dent on the O/S rear quarter panel that you can see in one of the photos, and I have to hold my hands up to that one!

Aircon is fitted and worked fine last summer but I tried it today and it now doesn't does't so for the purpose of this sale, assume there is no aircon please.

She is a seven seater and the 3rd row of seats clip in and out very quickly. All seven seats have full 3 point seat belts - no seat is reliant on a lap belt only.

The wheels in the image are 16" with good AT tyres but I also have a full set of 5 17" alloys with 2 good and 2 not so good tyres that will be included.

If you want more information, please drop me a PM and I'll pass on my phone number for a chat.

If you want to have look she's located at my workplace in Lichfield and your very welcome to come and take a look / have a drive. I know some people like to view cars without the owner so if you want to take a sneaky look when I'm not there she's accessible 24/7 outside the unit where I work. Drop me a PM for the full address.

I will keep her insured and taxed until sold and will deliver within a reasonable distance, say 100 miles or so.

The price? Well I'd like to think she's worth in the region of £2k+, but I'm realistic and will start the haggle at £1750. Don't be afraid to make me an offer, she really does need to go soon.

Finally, the photos!:

I still have the sidesteps although one bolt broke when they were removed...

Mine looked like that once

I can vouch for this car, it's been parked outside my house, if I was in the market for one, based on it's age and condition I wouldn't mind spending my money on this!!!

It's never had anything but diesel in it but being the 2.7 I guess you could run svo/wvo if you really wanted to?

Me, I'd rather stick to the tried and tested diesel!

Great looking car and the lack of rust is a real asset but sadly the prices are very low. PX prices are even worse too. Our cars are worth far more to us than others and that is a really sad fact.

Default Too much? Any interest at £1600?

Price dropped to £1600 ono , but will very likely drop it again if no interest here or elsewhere. This could be a good game - let's say I drop it by a random amount per week until it's sold or until I get fed up and put it back on ebay?
